Steel Bridges
Design, fabrication and erection of steel truss and plate girder bridges, plus steel components for pedestrian and trail bridges.

Plant & people
Precision engineering and industrial-scale capacity, built for the country's most demanding structural work.
Industrial core
Our strategy is to give single-door service to our customers, so a separate galvanization unit with the latest technology is installed within our factory premises. The unit occupies 800 m² of built-up area and runs the largest zinc vat in its class at 8.0 m long. We use semi-automated technology for quality control and operation of the GI plant.

Field operations
Fabrication and galvanizing are only half the job. Safe Steels erects what it builds — our own crews handle site assembly of truss and plate girder bridges, warehouse frames, plant structures and towers, so responsibility for fit-up and tolerances stays with the people who cut the steel.

Precision fabrication
Safe Steel's workshop in Chitwan is well equipped with state of the art plant, machinery and tools. It extends over a total built-up area of 1,500 m² for the fabrication workshop and 5,000 m² of material stacking and handling yard. All machines are in good condition and available in sufficient quantity to execute up to 2,500 MT of fabrication work per year within the factory premises.

Corrosion defense
Work out how long a galvanized coating will last in your exposure conditions. Published rates appear here once they are entered in the admin.
Time to first maintenance
50years
Indicative only, based on typical zinc corrosion rates in ISO 9223 and minimum mean coating thickness in ISO 1461. Contact us for a figure against your actual specification.
| Category | Environment | Zinc loss |
|---|---|---|
| C2 | Rural, low pollution | 0.4 µm/year |
| C3 | Urban and suburban | 1.4 µm/year |
| C4 | Industrial or coastal | 3.2 µm/year |
| C5 | Heavy industrial or marine | 6.3 µm/year |

What we do
Design, fabrication, galvanization, supply and erection — every stage executed in-house.

Design, fabrication and erection of steel truss and plate girder bridges, plus steel components for pedestrian and trail bridges.

Fabrication and erection of pre-engineered warehouse frames, industrial sheds and roofing structures.

Structural steelwork for power plants, cement plants and multi-storey building frames.

Heavy girders for bridges and towers, hydraulic structures, penstock pipes and other large fabricated sections.

Full site erection of steel structures, carried out by our own crews with the lifting and rigging equipment to match.

Galvanization of all steel sections in a dedicated in-house unit with one of the largest zinc vats in the country.
Technical
We manage the whole lifecycle of a steel structure — from the design office through the galvanizing bath to the crew bolting it together on site.
Headed by a Masters in Structural Engineering with more than 15 years of experience, our team works designs up against your specification, load cases and site constraints.
Galvanizing is executed to the minimum mean coating thickness set out in ISO 1461, matched to the thickness of each steel section.
An in-house laboratory handles general testing; specific testing goes to the Central Material Testing Laboratory in Lalitpur, so results are verified rather than self-certified.
Fabricated and galvanized sections are supplied and erected by our own crews, including sites well away from the highway network.
Send us your drawings, tonnage and site location. We will come back with a scope, a galvanizing plan and a delivery schedule.
